Richon Herefords was founded in 1994 by purchasing females from Toby Hines, Taurau Valley
Stud in Gisbourne and other cows from Kiwi and Leader Studs more recently.
Richon runs 140 registered cows alongside 650 commercial cows. 130 Beechwood cows
have run in Lees Valley since 2015 in a Share Farming arrangement, pushing both Herds
genetic base.
All finishing stock are farmed at Steffans Road, Cust property.
Bulls are sent to Balcairn property after weaning and stay there until Sale Day. No other
classes of stock are run there. We acknowledge the threat of Bovis and all bulls are isolated
from any other stock.
This will be our third combined sale at Maskells Road. We wish the Molloy Family well for
the sale.
