Hereford Background
The Earnscleugh Hereford Stud was established in 1977 with heifers purchased from the Broadacre, Waikaka, and
Glacier studs.
In 1981 we purchased the complete line of cows with calves at foot from Reeve Williams of Glacier Stud. Selected
females were added from the Clachanburn, Eriskay, and Broadacre dispersals. In 2007 we Purchased 33 in calf HEREFORD
females from the Roselawn dispersal and in 2008 a few selected females from the Leader dispersal.
In 2011 we purchased the Stanfield Polled Hereford Herd including the pick of the yearling bulls.
