A WARM WELCOME TO YOU ALL

Welcome to our 35th on farm bull sale and 67 years
       of breeding registered Hereford cattle.

When a date is booked on the calendar annually, how
that time comes around particularly as you get older!
The final countdown of the 3 previous years mating
is when you catalogue the bulls. The bulls have been
run in two groups since February this year.
The take home message from the recent ‘What’s the
Beef’ road show was to invest in good genetics, good
nutrition and have good handling practices to produce
quality beef. Substantial premiums are on offer - Silver
Fern Farms and Alliance are unable to source enough
cattle for these programs to satisfy the demand.

Mokairau cattle are selected on structural soundness,
easy finishing, longevity and other attributes of this
breed – their temperament, fertility and eye appeal.
To aid eye appraisal and evaluation the use of
Breedplan EBV’s, fertility and carcase data provides an
objective measurement and a guide to commercially
important traits helping you select the right sires for
       your programme.
This year bidr will be operating at our sale as an option
to purchase, see ad in this catalogue.
Rural tv have video clips of several bulls and they can
       be viewed on www.nzstudstock.co.nz
Family members enjoy and appreciate relationships
which have been cultured from breeding cattle over
       many years.
