Purchased in 2012. What an amazing legacy he has left, as the sire and grand sire of so many stud bulls throughout New Zealand. Most notable was our 2015
bull sale when Rangatira 13-38 was sold for an on farm New Zealand record price of $100,000 to Cricklewood Angus Stud. This record stood for 5 years.
Exciting to see his grandson Cricklewood P056 (sired by Rangatira 15-21) sold last year for $92,000. Many sons sold to commercial buyers nationwide as well.
The progeny he has left are strong cattle with width and big barrels – thick as bricks.

We retained Cobra in 2012. He was our top keeper from all our Kaharau rising two year old bulls from 2012. He weaned at 324kg, weighed 762kg at 600
days and was 850kg on 30/04/12 and has an EMA EBV of +6.7. Cobra is a very sound, incredibly easy doing bull retaining meat and softness even when in a
paddock with little grass. He has bred exceptionally well with many of his sons being sold both stud and commercially for us and Taimate Angus Stud. Cobra
retired in 2020 after 8 years of active service.
