FOREWORD

It is bull sale time again and what a crazy 12 months it’s been. Thank you to all of those who braved Covid lockdown conditions
and attended our bull sale last year. We appreciate your continued support and confidence in our genetics.
We head into this year’s sale with confidence our sale will go ahead, in its usual format, as planned. Any changes in the sale
format, for any reason, will be communicated to everyone as quickly as possible.
It’s always an enjoyable job to catalogue the sale bulls, going through them one last time to make sure that every bull we put
up for sale will benefit our clients and the beef industry. The bulls in this year’s offering are sired by our own high genetic merit
home-bred bulls, Te Taumata Foundation, Te Taumata Horizon, Te Taumata Force, Te Taumata Hudson and Te Taumata Impact.

It is not a surprise or a coincidence that NJW Hometown 10Y features strongly in pedigrees throughout our bull sale offering
and also in the females we’ve retained for breeding. NJW Hometown 10Y is the most widely used bull in the world for his
combination of strong maternal and carcass traits, growth and easy fleshing ability and the predictability with which he passes
     those traits onto his progeny.
In 2022 we will have an exciting new genetic line to offer, Tycolah Queenscliff. We selected Queenscliff for our programme on a
visit to Tycolah, when he was just a yearling. Queenscliff went on to win Supreme Champion at the Royal Easter Show in Sydney
as a 2-year-old. He is a bull with added meat and dimension and is a very sound and free moving bull that carries this with ease.
We were impressed with his dam.
If you are interested in knowing more about our breeding programme and management practices, please come and visit.
November is a great time to see cows with their calves at foot and our herd sires walking the paddock. Visitors are welcome
     any time.
