RANGATIRA constantly evaluates and purchases top sires as well as retaining several of the studs own two year old sires to use in
the stud. All sires are selected for structural soundness, for the fertility and production of their dam lines and sire backgrounds.
We calve on medium to steep hill country and calving problems are almost non existent in our herd.
RANGATIRA cattle are grass and hay fed only.
RANGATIRA’S aim has always been to produce early maturing cattle, easy doing, meaty, with very good structure, temperament,
soundness and fertility.
All RANGATIRA Bulls have been inspected for breeding soundness by New Zealand Angus Association Breed Inspectors.
This Inspection service is offered by Angus New Zealand to breeding members as a form of quality assurance
and indicates that the animal has passed inspection on the specific day it was viewed. The inspection is carried
out by an approved Angus NZ Inspector, and animals of a minimum age which pass this inspections may assume
an “Independently Inspected” status and may be promoted under the associated Angus NZ “Independently
Inspected / AA Tick” logo.
Inspections are carried out in accordance with the Angus NZ Inspection Manual 2011.

ALL BULLS HAVE BEEN SNP TESTED AND SIRE VERIFIED
BULLS ARE SCANNED FOR CARCASE DATA AT 600 DAYS.
