SALE BULLS COMPARED TO BREED AVERAGE

Here at Te Mania our breeding program is focused on producing very sound, efficient cattle with plenty
of balance across multiple traits to enable our clients to optimise value.

This balance in all the key economic traits is evident in our 2021 ‘sales team’. As you will see below the
average EBVs of the Te Mania sale bulls are well above the Angus breed average in most traits. Then
when you look at the Angus Self replacing Index, which ranks bulls on their ability to generate profit (per
cow mated) in a self-replacing herd situation, you see the average of the 2021 sale bulls is in the top
15% for the 2019 born calves and also in the top 15% for the Angus Pure Index- that’s balance across
the key economic traits.
